GOING STIR-CRAZY IN ISOLATION? YOU’RE NOT ALONE!
As the pandemic forces large swathes of the globe into lockdown, your home’s four walls became part-safe haven and part-personal prison.
If you live alone, the monotony of days cooped up in your apartment can exacerbate the more negative feelings you’ve managed to keep in abeyance.
If you live with a partner or a roommate, coexisting with someone and all of their personal issues 24/7 in a confined space for who knows how long can be very taxing to adapt to.
Just because staying home is the safe thing to be doing right now doesn’t mean it’s that easy.
As a matter of fact, the overwhelming feeling of being stuck in the same place for an undisclosed period of time blocks the flow of your spiritual energy.
When you can’t properly process what’s going on around you, emotional toxins accumulate in your spiritual pathway. You become lethargic, irritable, frustrated. Soon enough, you’ll even start feeling empty.
YOU MAY NOT BE AWARE OF IT, BUT THE SPIRIT HAS A WAY OF HEALING ITSELF
As we’re all connected by the cosmic life energy that flows within each of us, you heal and restore your spirit whenever you connect with the Universe.
Often, you may not even realize that the most mundane tasks are already clearing the energy blockages caused by the stress and anxiety from the uncertainty created by the lockdown.
Have you found yourself doing any of these seemingly simple yet highly spiritual activities subconsciously during the lockdown, it may just be your energy pathways attuning to a higher-frequency state!
1. AS IF YOU NEEDED TO INDULGE IN A GLASS OF VINO…BUT YOU DID ANYWAY
Ah… Inherently luscious and velvety, sumptuous and smooth—that early evening glass of wine may be one of the few things to look forward to during each of these challenging, strange days.
Full-bodied red blends.
If you’ve been furloughed or have less work on than usual, it’s tempting to start drinking earlier in the day than you normally would. Skip the guilt trip! You’re doing your chakra a huge favor.
Red is strongly associated with the root chakra, which grounds you for stability in your life. It pairs well with a big glass of earthy red wine which helps you ground down and feel safe, trusting that you’re taken care of and all your needs are met.
But before you pour yourself another glass, remember to keep it to a minimum. Drinking can seem like the answer when you’re feeling isolated, but you don’t want to wake up the next morning with a pounding headache and only able to find one shoe.
2. PUT YOUR FULL ATTENTION ON YOUR TEA—NO PARTY NECESSARY
You’ve always associated afternoon tea with scones, clotted cream, and chattering friends.
Now that you’re in lockdown, you wondered, “Why would I spend two hours drinking just a cup of tea?” But you did anyway, only this time, you didn’t just throw in a bag but instead brewed an aromatic infusion of dried flowers, herbs, and spices: thyme, rosemary, lavender, ginger, among others.
You didn’t know it, but you treated yourself to a witchy concoction.
Special sacred spiritual herbs and plants have far more in store for you than simply physical healing and health-promoting effects—they work to balance on an energetic and etheric level as well.
The very act of brewing also taps your spiritual channel. When you take time to make yourself and enjoy a soothing cup of herbal tea infusion, you’re allowing yourself to go within. You soften your thoughts and begin to hear the voice of your intuition.

3. SERVED A BIG BOWL OF SALAD—AND NO, NOT BECAUSE YOU’RE ON A FAD DIET
They’re bright and full of life—salads are perfect for when you might want to go light at the end of a hot day.
As lockdowns and social distancing measures continue to try to contain the pandemic, your normal food shopping routines and habits have also been disrupted. So, you find creative ways to use ingredients you have on hand, like the humble produce from your pocket backyard horticulture.
Little did you know that by simply tossing carrots, golden beets, tomatoes, kale, onions, and avocados to prepare a big bowl of gorgeously-hued rainbow salad, you also enlightened all of your seven chakras!
Eating foods of certain colors help realign your chakras:
Red keeps away all your worries and anxieties.
Orange enhances your pleasure points.
Yellow gives you more confidence.
Green heightens abundance in love, joy, and happiness.
Blue empowers you to communicate better.
Munching on salads isn’t called a “cleanse” for no reason.
4. CLEANED UP THE LOCKDOWN MESS—HEY, SOMEONE HAD TO DO IT
More time at home means more mess and will necessarily result in more chores to do than usual.
Washing up. Hoovering. Cleaning the toilet.
No one enjoys doing household chores but someone has to do it.
If you’ve been spending your time in lockdown managing your home to an extent where you’d give Martha Stewart a run for her money, you’ve been in a state of mind that revolves around having more presence, attention, and focus.
Has it ever occurred to you that menial chores require mindfulness meditation? They allow you to turn inward and in the process, become more attuned to who you are, and what you’re supposed to do in this life.
Chores give you the chance to step outside of our Ego, detach from the pressures, stress, and obligations of your life, and become aligned with a place inside of yourself that is never without anything that you need.
Be open to it.
Be willing to accept it.
And most of all, be appreciative and grateful for your own chance for a Divine connection.
5. PAMPERED YOURSELF LIKE A BEAUTY BLOGGER? YOU DESERVED IT!
Panic ensued in your heart of hearts when personal care establishments were placed under restrictions.
Who will do your tan? When will you get your next spa appointment?
Then, watching your favorite beauty channels, you realized that you don’t always have to fork over a ton of money to effectively treat yourself to a luxurious pampering experience with the items you already have stocked in your beauty repertoire.
So you filled the tub with a few drops of lavender essential oil and Himalayan sea salt, dipped in, and surprise, surprise—you cleansed your aura.
Your aura is the energy field that surrounds your body that picks up on emotions, health, psychic debris, and circumstances around you. Stress and anxiety block the auric field and a cleansing bath is a good way to clear your energy field.
Now you understand why you feel incredibly refreshed and inspired once you step out of the tub.

6. HIT “ADD TO CART” FOR THE NTH TIME… Y’KNOW ONE ITEM JUST AIN’T ENOUGH.
Dealing with boredom while being locked down in your house during these trying and unpredictable times can be stressful.
One of the common activities that you must’ve done which made you feel better was online shopping.
Buying yourself something that’s non-essential–be it a book or a new top–feels like a treat. And at a time when you’re being denied of so many of life’s usual comforts, you’re craving all the pick-me-ups you can get.
Online shopping introduces a sense of agency and volitional behavior in an otherwise non-autonomous life. As a result, it usually ends up making you feel better and happier.
Worried you might be wasting too much money?
Wrong. You actually opened your channels for more financial wealth.
The basic rule of the Law of Attraction is this: like attracts like. By allowing yourself to treat yourself to small luxuries, like adding another item in your cart, every once in a while makes you attractive to wealth and abundance.
Shopping is called retail therapy for a reason.
IT’S NOT EASY TO BE PLACED IN LOCKDOWN
If your time has ended, congratulations, you survived it!
But if you’re still in one, it’s worth getting facing any feelings of discomfort head-on to ensure you have the least uncomfortable period possible.
Being locked up indefinitely can be pretty crazy and has a way of muddling your cosmic channels to the Universe. But the spirit will always find a way to let your energies flow naturally, that even without your knowledge, you’ve been doing spiritual things subconsciously while on lockdown.
Stress and anxiety are inevitable, but you’ll emerge stronger, ready to lead a more balanced, whole, and fulfilled life.
