We live and we love.

We can’t exist without each other. Our lives are paths of navigation through this delicate balance of give and take, fight and flight, love and leave. You have the power to raise others up to the greatest heights of their imagination. Or burn them to the ground with only a few short words. We are each other’s cheerleaders, champions and confidants. And we are also the accusers, abusers, and oppressors.

The balance of our relationships with each other is being re-worked constantly because we are being re-worked constantly.

There’s nothing static or still about the ways our worlds connect.

The Full Moon in Libra rides into town on the same day as the Equinox this year, amplifying its power to illuminate all of the ways these relational dynamics are currently rippling through our lives.

Are you ready for the spotlight?

Full Moon in Libra March 2019 Dates & Times

A Libra Super Moon Sails into Town…

This Full Moon is also going to feel amplified because it’s a supermoon – the third in a row where the Full Moon is hitting the point known as ‘perigee’ on its orbit around Earth. This means it’s sailing far closer to our terrain than it normally does, so not only will la Lady Luna appear huge in the skies, but she’ll also be tugging fiercely at our physical and emotional bodies too.

Emotions are heightened on an ordinary Full Moon, so this one could see things getting manic.

Be warned.

It’s You Vs Me (vs Us)

Every Full Moon carries a polarising force because the Sun and Moon – our celestial twins – sit in exact opposition to each other. The Moon at 0º of Libra faces the Sun at 0º of Aries. Libra only knows how to live in relationship to another, Libra is ALL ABOUT US. Aries, on the other hand, is wilfully independent. With Aries, the self always comes first.

It’s an age-old tug of war that’s playing out across the skies this week. And (as we know it goes…) “as above, so below…” So be aware that this dusty rope is also being pulled and twisted and yanked up out of the sand of our own selves – This battle between self and other lives inside us all.

Only this week, you’ll feel it.

That’s what Full Moons do – they shine a light on the places in our hearts where tussles need to happen. They set the scene, and give us space to do the work. This means that this Full Moon will show you the places where your relationships may be strained, uneasy, unhealthy. You may be tested. Your commitment examined, your capacity to back down and cooperate pushed and poked until you work out where your limits lie. There’s no right answer here – the Full Moon’s not trying to make you do one thing or another.

This is an opportunity to find out what you’re made of.

Mars Square Venus – Let Love Emerge

As if that wasn’t enough to be grappling with this week, an exact square between red hot Mars and sensual Venus crosses the skies just as the Full Moon hits. Mars, at 23º of Taurus already struggles to contain its fiery passion in this fixed earth sign, whilst Venus at 23º of Aquarius doesn’t much enjoy spending time in this forward-focused, mind-centric air sign. Squaring, these two already uncomfortable planets create the kind of friction that could spiral into a fray pretty quickly if not kept in check.

So what to do!?

Keep centered and keep learning.

A wise (wo)man once said that relationships are our greatest teachers. Coupled with the Full Moon in Libra, this square could show you aspects of yourself that have been in hiding. This isn’t all bad! Often blamed for its temper, Mars also ignites passion. And coupled with such beauty-seeking Venusian energies, there is potential for true love to emerge if you can let Libra’s balancing, harmonizing force wash over you and actually set intentions for love to emerge.

Mercury Retrograde Conjunct Neptune – Poetry in Motion

You’ll likely be well aware of Mercury’s current retrograde through Pisces. Currently at 18º, the trickster planet makes a close conjunction to Neptune, planet of dreams, at 16º of the same sign.

This is poetry.

…And an invitation to let go of the need to be exacting and dive into your imagination for a while. Loosen up with your words, tap into your dreams, let meanings blur and make leaps of faith. Artists will enjoy this aspect because it loosens up fixed ideas and squeezes the creative juices. But if you’re someone who holds on tight to fixed ideas, then things could feel mighty confusing for a while. As if Mercury retrograde wasn’t enough to stir you into a spin, its skyward meet-up with the planet of dreams could see the bottom fall clean out of facts you thought you could trust, as fictions take the stage… or do they? And all this under the illuminating gaze of the Libra Full Moon.

So let it go.

Surrender.

Trust Pisces to hold you in its subtle strength, and whatever falls away most likely needs to go.

Time to Come Together

Sounds like it could be intense – so much cosmic energy focussed on the relational realms, illuminating our darker aspects through the dynamics we create with the other people in our lives. Phew! And yes, it could be. But once we get through to the other side, the end result is deeper, stronger, and more authentic connections.

Libra wants equality. Mars will fight for it. And Venus will weave the beauty through the story.

Love will win in the end.

Full Moon blessings.
