SO What’s Does the Astrology of Gemini Have to do with YOU?!
Before anything manifests as matter in this world, it starts as a thought. As the glimmer of inspiration, or a spark of imagination… that’s all. And from there, it’s given its first form through words, before being spun into a story with a beginning, a middle and an end.
That’s the work of air sign Gemini.
It lives in a world of words and ideas. If you have any Gemini friends, you’ll likely know this about them – these are those talkative folks who live on their phones (because their lives are lived through conversations, right?!) And they work their magic in those in-between spaces of connection, travel, and transition.
So, when the Full Moon rises in this elusive, Mercury-driven sign, it’s no wonder that nobody can sit still! This part of ourselves – this seeking, curious, Gemini-flavoured part is being enlivened and illuminated and called up to the surface.
Sounds quite intense, doesn’t it? (And if you’ve been wide-eyed and awake the past few nights, gazing at that growing Moon through your bedroom window, then you’ll be feeling its intensity by now too…) Well here’s another thing or two stirring the astrological pot:
Romance Gets Serious
Venus Conjunct Saturn and Pluto
Between the 10th and 14th December, Venus in Capricorn, the planet of love and beauty moves into conjunction with Saturn (19º of Capricorn) and then Pluto (21º of Capricorn).
Saturn draws our attention down to the bones of any situation, asking the big question, and forcing us to get real.
Pluto draws us deeper still.
Then when you arrive at the bottom of the pit, this tiny planet, ruler of Scorpio no less – gives you the exit route, via your personal transformation.
So as gentle, unassuming, heart-centered Venus sails between 19º and 21º of Cap, meeting these two power-players of the cosmos, their focus turns to our love and relationships.
- What do you truly want in relationships?
- What do you need?
- And what are you currently getting?
- Are you honest? Loving? Compassionate?
- Or are your actions tinged with jealousy? Resentment? Unacknowledged pain?
Synchronizing with the Gemini Full Moon, this powerful conjunction will illuminate the places in your relationships that need work. And as is so often the case, the cosmos works its magic through triggers and through mirrors. So remember to stay sovereign during this time of intensity. With Mercury as this Moon’s ruling planet, words matter. Choose them carefully. Speak them with kindness. And watch the transformation occur…
Shhhush the Monkey Mind, and Trust the Divine
T Square between Sun, Moon, and Neptune
Still in its home sign, and now moving direct, Neptune (at 15º of Pisces) is making a powerful aspect to both the Sun (at 19º of Sag) and Moon (at 19º). As the center point to this T Square, the planet of the superconscious blurs boundaries and heightens intuition. It encourages us to lift our gaze to the sacred, and the unseen realms.
This is beautiful astrology. With our Full Moon in mind-centric Gemini, this planetary activation will soften the mental chatter. It comes as a bright reminder to trust in the divine, and the plan which is all-encompassing, yet impossible for us to see from our earth-bound perspective.
Say Yes to Momentum!
It’s been a long time since SO many of our solar system’s planets were moving direct. At the time of this Gemini Full Moon, only Uranus is still retrograde (and forward or back, with that wild card, anything goes!) So this Full Moon is infused with the level of momentum we haven’t seen or felt for quite some time.
Got plans? Start manifesting them. It may not hold the new beginning initiatory spark that the New Moon brings, but Full Moons hold a very powerful magnetic force. So this really is a great time to hold a ritual, give gratitude, and open up to more.
Embrace Duel Experiences (Twin Energy Reins Supreme)
Symbolized by the twins, Gemini is one of the Zodiac’s three duel signs (the others are Sagittarius – half man, half beast – and Pisces – the two fishes). And yes, with the Sun in Sag right now, duel-energy is on high.
So what does this mean?
It means that at the time of this Gemini Moon, you – and the people around you – could seem indecisive, changeable, and vacillating between one mood and another (sound familiar?!) It means that one minute you could feel delighted by a situation, and the next, feel utterly irritated by it. It means that you could feel like inviting the neighborhood around for a party one day, then need to retreat, hermit-like, the next.
It can be frustrating… yet it also brings new ways and opportunities to see and feel from multiple perspectives. What better way to empathize with others, than if you’re seeing and feeling the world through multiple lenses?
The Gemini Full Moon offers this – a multitude of ways of seeing! Don’t get locked into one. Embrace the fluidity!
With Gemini’s mutable air energy, Sagittarius’ fire-sign restlessness, and the other-worldly Neptunian vibes also making waves right now, this is a time when grounding is key.
Full Moons can bring such high-frequency energy down to earth that it needs to be anchored in. So without a direct line, it can make people feel, well, a little loopy.
- Go for a walk outside
- If you’re game, take off your shoes and socks and exchange electrons with the Earth herself – go on!
- Try grounding meditation. This one is great.
- Use earthing mats when you sit (check out these)
- Eat grounding foods. Root vegetables, like carrots, beets, potatoes and parsnips and ideal.
Whilst the energy of this mutable sign could feel had to handle, the Astrology overall at the time of this Full Moon is hugely supportive! There’s potential for both progress, partnership, and transformation. SO don’t hold back!
