A lot of people look into their personal astrology chart for answers about their life purpose. What if I told you that you could do the same for your business?

When you’re new to the entrepreneur game, you tend to make lots of pivots until you find your sweet spot in your industry. The great thing about astrology is that it can take some of the guesswork out the equation so you can become laser-focused from the get-go. How do you do that? You simply look at your business birth chart like you would for a personal chart!

The three main aspects to anybody’s chart is their Sun (ego or essence), Moon (internal, emotional world) and Rising Sign (how the world sees them). Even if you ditched the rest of the chart, this would still be extremely insightful in determining what you need to do in your career to feel truly fulfilled.

I believe, just like humans, businesses are born with a purpose. They have a desire to fulfill to assist humanity in some way. When we look at your business’s Sun, Moon and Rising, we can begin to piece together what that purpose might be.

Choosing your business birth time

In order to calculate your business’s chart to find these three points, you must have an exact time of “birth”, date, and location. I encourage my clients to use the moment they feel they went “all in” on their business. For some, that’s when they bought the domain name, for others, it’s when they hired a business coach, or when they found their LLC. It varies from person to person.

I like to use a concrete moment where I took action towards the goal of starting my business. I specifically look for an email with a date and timestamp and use this as the “birth time”.

Creating your business birth chart

Once you have this information, you can go to astro.com, and select “Free Horoscopes” then “Natal Chart, Ascendant”. You can then put in the required information and you’ll see it spits out a circular birth chart like the one I created below for my business, Willows Bloom.

There’s obviously a lot to reading an entire chart which is why astrologers have jobs! However, I’m going to teach you the foundations today which will give you a wonderful start to discovering how your business is meant to help the world.

First, let’s start with the chart basics.

A chart consists of 12 houses, 12 zodiac signs and 10 planets. When you interpret the three together, you’re able to find your business’s purpose.

Planet = type of energy

Zodiac sign = how you express that energy

House = domain of life in which the energy is expressed

In other words, the houses are the pieces of pie in the chart that represent different areas of life.

The third step is to find the planets in your chart

Let’s start with the Sun. This looks like the circle with a circle inside of it. We want to spot which house and zodiac sign the Sun is in. The zodiac symbols are on the outer edge of the circle and the house number is within the inner edge. As you can see in my chart above, the Sun falls in Leo in the 10th house.

The Sun in a business chart represents the soul of your business and is a huge part of its desire to express itself.

Let’s find where the Moon and Ascendant are and then piece this information together to interpret it.

When looking at the chart, you can see Willows Bloom has its moon in Taurus in the 7th house.

The Moon in a business chart represents where your business will find its financial security in order to last well into the future.

If you spot the letters “ASC” in the chart, you’ll see it’s in Libra. The Ascendant is always in the same place (on the first house cusp) so we don’t need to look at the house.

The Ascendant is part of your brand identity and contributes to the overall purpose of your business as well.

Lastly, let’s mix it all together…

Willows Bloom has:

Sun in Leo in the 10th house

Moon in Taurus in the 7th house

Libra Ascendant

Let’s pull the information above and interpret it for my business:

Willows Bloom’s Sun:

Leo: Playful, heart-centered, leader, brave self-expression, center-stage, bold, actor, courageous, childlike

10th house: Career, legacy, management, authority, father, status, public image, business

My business’s purpose is to help people become leaders in their field. I use astrology to help women create heart-centered businesses and encourage them to step up as leaders in their career. You can see how this ties in nicely with my business’s natal Sun!

Willows Bloom’s Moon:

Taurus: Slow and steady, calm, long-term growth, lasting results, material and earthly, quality over quantity, grounded, stubborn

7th house: Romantic partnerships, marriage, counseling, justice and law, business associates, contracts, 1-1 work

My business will likely find its greatest financial windfall through intensive 1-1 work that creates lasting change in people’s lives and businesses. By working with me personally, people can create material wealth in their lives through their businesses.

My business currently offers 1-1 readings and personalized help with their businesses within my course.

The ultimate purpose of Willows Bloom is to create a greater balance between work and pleasure in order for people to live more balanced and happy lives!
