For most of this month the Sun will be in Gemini, a mutable air sign ruled by quick-moving Mercury. Though this is quite an “airy” time, our message for June is to balance all of this Air with the energy of Earth. This month is all about self-care and focusing on gaining equilibrium.
Here is a Tarot and Goddess Oracle card reading to give us insights on the energies in the weeks ahead, and how to best navigate them…
Tarot Reading for June 2018:
- King of Cups
- 2 of Wands
- 2 of Pentacles
- 9 of Pentacles
- 8 of Cups
- 10 of Wands
It’s Time For Some Self-Reflection
How are the physical aspects of your life? How are you eating, spending your time, managing your finances? What is your sleep schedule like? How are your habits? Do any of these things need adjustment? Making adjustments will empower you in moving forward and taking any future action steps. Also, if you have been experiencing any turbulence, this will help you to gain more emotional balance and stability.
Be sure to include some leisure time in your schedule this month. If you have been feeling burnt out and lethargic, this is especially important. Enjoy the finer things in life- art, food, music, dance… and spend some time outside in the beauty of nature. Make pleasure and enjoyment of the senses a priority, because this is essential to our well-being!
From “The Goddess Oracle” by Amy Sophia Marashinsky:
“I sing a song of love
From the stones of my body
from the high peaks of my mountains
from the hot sands of my deserts
I caress you with green leaves
I bathe you in greenery
and feed you from my breast
I soothe you with sparkling waters
refresh you in my oceans
My song of love for you
is my body
there to feed you
Learn my song
and it will heal you
sing my song and it will whole you
dance with me and you will be holy”
Pachamama, honoured by the indigenous peoples of the Andes, is our goddess guide for June. She is a dragon fertility goddess, representing life force energy. She is a mother goddess, the Earth and the waters. Our bodies are parts of her.
Her appearance this month sends us the message to focus on nourishment. It also signifies that it is important to spend some time in nature; to align and connect with it.
Harmony With Nature
In Daoist philosophy, to be a sage or “holy” is to be in harmony with nature. Pagans would probably argue the same! The message here is to not only connect with the outdoors, but to also give attention to your own bodies as part of the Earth. What does your body need? What will nourish you and bring you to more strength, stability and equilibrium?
Thank you for reading, and have a great month!
