In the last post, we started with interpretations of the letters; those that correspond to the numbers 1, 2 and 3. This time we’ll cover the letters that have the number values of 4, 5 and 6. Four has the letters D, M & V, and five has letters E, N & W and the letters that go with 6 are F, O and X.

But before I jump into them, I want to make a very important statement for beginning numerologists (and even some advanced ones). Never just take a stab at reading a person’s dynamic alphabet UNLESS it is significant in the chart. This is the #1 rule for looking at the alphabet charts; in fact, any other rules are subservient to this one.

You must always and only study the letters that define the Cornerstone (the first letter of the first name), the Minor Key (the first letter of the last name) or the letters that are in power due to the active name cycles at the time. In other words, the Cornerstone and the Minor Key, because they are essentially always the same, are like reference points for the chart at any time. The cycle letter tells you what someone is doing and when, but spinning them by their relationship with the Cornerstone and Minor Key will usually tell you how the subject does it. We will discuss these advanced topics more deeply in the future.

Reading letters in a random way will only give you meaningless information. In other words, if someone has a D, or more than one in their name, unless it is the Cornerstone, the Minor key or it is active in one of the name cycles, using the reading for it is not allowed.

D is a closed letter. It can be a door that some might refuse to open. It is one of the most firm and reliable letters, and acts as a doorway, but some stubbornly refuse to see what’s beyond it. It represents the four directions we use to know where we are headed, both literally and metaphorically. It’s a letter that represents determination and gives the discipline to stick with “doing the deed” you have decided upon, even when it’s really dull. You have to be careful during its 4-year transit, because others might depend on you to deal with their problems. If you’re a traveler, it might mean a journey of long duration after your 13th birthday. This transit can also make you more defensive than usual, and you may have some difficulty with accepting new ideas or people. When you direct your attention to breaking through limitations, you have the strength to knock any obstacle down, especially if D is your cornerstone. If you have two D’s in a row, it’s transit will last 8 years instead of 4, and the effects will be spread out over a long time. This will cause their effects to be more intense, in that they have enough time to set down deep roots. If you have multiple D’s spread throughout your name in a disconnected way, you’ll find these effects intensify at various times throughout your life.

M will often act like a sturdy range of mountains, or the cross section of a volcano that we see in schoolbooks. Both of these have tremendous powers that come from hidden resources, like the Magma hidden within. M tends to avoid expressing emotions (or at least manage them well) when there is a good reason to do so or when it supports its motivations. M may also give you a talent for managing others. Anyone with a strong M influence needs to have a lot of movement and activity in their life, because mobility and “going with the flow” will keep old emotions from mounting up until they reach “critical mass” and explode. This is especially important during M’s 4-year transit. M’s are often quiet and secure, and are good at stress-management, moving in measured steps whether doing something minor or mighty. All M’s need to be careful of becoming manipulative, because it’s a letter that can move others, through music, muscle or mode of speech. It’s also one of the most traditional and loyal letter-vibrations, that thrives when you apply your steady hand and practical mind to your tasks and duties, especially if it’s your cornerstone. Two M’s in a row make for an intense period of 8 years during which one can go into the depths and rise again. If M falls in various unconnected places within your names, it shows you expressing some of these effects at various times.

V is the well-known hand signal for both peace and victory. It can also be the jokingly made “rabbit ears” behind another’s head. This is an interesting letter because it can give you a blessing of solid and peaceful progress. Its effects aren’t usually sudden and intense except when it’s your Cornerstone or the letter that manages its own 4-year transit. V has a vivifying influence on wellness and the ability to keep you in a vibrant emotional state whenever it appears. It is sometimes used as a symbol for “down”, but for a V person, it is more like “being down to do” something and helps you stick with the bottom line. You can be vindictive when you are frustrated by self-limiting situations. But you are also determined, tireless and persistent when pursuing your goals. V gives a voracious appetite for variety in life but expecting too much of others can bring choices that end up being disappointing. After the age of 22, its transit is likely to be very positive. Usually its transit is happy, and you will emerge from it victoriously. If you have 2 V’s in a row, that means 8 years of the transit during which you’ll experience the full range of its powers. If they are in different places in your names, one or two of the characteristics will manifest at different times giving a wide variety of the V experience.

You should know that V is the 22nd letter of the alphabet, and when it’s a Cornerstone, it will act more like vibration 22 than vibration 4. It’s well documented in various people’s lives that the effective, charismatic, determined and managerial traits of 22 are expressed by V.

The 5 Group – E, N, W: “Expect Nice Weather”

E is energetic and enthusiastic and probably the most “5-ish” of the letters in its group. If you’re an E person, you’re probably enthusiastic about exploring the variety of experience available to you, and love to test the limitations of your personal freedom through careful experimentation. This letter has three horizontal arms reaching out toward the future, which shows the importance you place on looking ahead, but you may need to curb the impulse to jump into action without thinking. You focus strongly on your independence, and this struggle gives birth to your most positive qualities; your boundless energy and your entertaining way of getting others “on board.” You find it easy to adapt to change, but you are also a “change maker.” Whether your experiences with the changes you encounter are fortunate or not depends to your sense of duty. This is especially critical during its 5-year Transit, when your intuition and wit are at their heights. You can activate the positive powers of change and seize opportunities by thinking things through before you commit to them, especially after your 14th birthday. Throughout your life, it won’t be hard to recognize that just a few brief moments of good fortune come along with almost any unexpected changes you experience, especially if it’s your cornerstone or first vowel. If you have two E’s in a row, chances are that when they come into your name cycles, you’ll have 10 years of excitement and changes. If they are scattered into different places in your name, the various 5-year periods can bring major changes that will be described by the other letters in the Secret Identity, or composite name cycles. Lastly, in a single 5-year cycle, the 3rd year of the cycle is said to bring the greatest changes.

N is thought of as being a neutral and balanced letter simply because it looks the same when it is turned upside down. At any rate, this is a fast-paced and energetic letter that gives you a tremendous advantage when you are caught up in changing circumstances or surprising situations, because you’re likely to gain something from the situation that enables you to come out on top. It can be a very helpful vibration when you need to let go of negative mental patterns and pay attention to your feelings before taking any kind of risk during an active phase. Speculative financial ventures, also known as gambling, are not good for you, because they can bring out your inner nervousness or negate your normally rational way of thinking. During N’s 5-year transit, you really need to give your love of adventure and variety a way to express itself. Going with the flow and enjoying balancing activities (like travel) can be powerfully healing during these times. The worst thing you can do when N is active is to let an attitude of “whatever, it’s the way things are” numb your brain. Moderation in your lifestyle is always important, because you might not see the possibility of a “reversal of fortune.” During an N cycle after your 14th birthday, it’s possible that you’ll make a major change in your career, lifestyle or relationships, but this is even more likely after the 23rd birthday. Two N’s in a row are famous for a 10-year pattern of chasing after enjoyment, so “normalizing” your personal life and being focused on success are important. If the N’s in your name are in different parts of the name, you can expect to understand the old science joke: “change is the only true constant in the Universe!”

W looks like two valleys on either side of a mountain. It represents the ups and downs you face in the journey of life. The valleys represent a river split by a mountain, and therefore is the primary letter-vibration that represents water which, in worldwide mystical writings and poetry, signifies human emotions. This shows you to be essentially caring, committed and adaptable. At the same time, you may fall prey to periods of worry: if your “heart is heavy” it sinks to the bottom. It’s up to you to rebound from the depths you fall into occasionally, even when errors in judgment regarding financial matters are on your mind. W also shows that you are likely to love travel and enjoy nature. You can be quite loyal, especially while its 5-year Transit is active. Changes of location through travel tend to excite you, but this does not mean you’ll profit from unnecessary changes in your financial life. Like flowing water, you don’t change your course on your own, because you will create your own course in time or easily adapt to changes made by others. The 3rd year of a W period may bring important decisions that change your relationships, but it’s the decisions you make that are important, not changes in the situations themselves. Although W periods are restless, they can be quite enjoyable. If W is your cornerstone, you can expect the ways you find to get around obstacles can be quite amazing to others, because your example shows them how to do the same. This can also be a very healing vibration for you and others during its time, especially for those who have adjacent W’s in their name cycles that result in a 10-year period. If you have several W’s that are not next to one another in your name, you will probably be very flexible and quickly adapt to any circumstances you encounter when any of those W’s are active.

The 6 Group – F, O, X “Fox”

F looks a lot like a flag unfurled. It can be a banner that shows other people “where you’re at” or exactly what you mean when you have something to say. Sometimes you may wear or carry a visible sign that expresses your frank, funny and family-oriented nature, but more often than not, you’ll be frank and open enough that you don’t have to show a sign to others to let them know what you are all about. Just like those fellows who toss the flags in Italy, you’ll need to be strong and balanced to fly your flag in an appropriate and artistic way. You’ll need good boundaries to share your values, ideals and deep thoughts with others, since your boundaries mean a degree of freedom from taking it personally when they don’t agree with you. You tend to be forthright, and sometimes you can be forceful, especially when discussing fundamental ideas that are the foundation of your way of being. You can be forceful when defending your ideals. There is a talent for foresight in this letter-vibration that you can use to your advantage, especially when you face the responsibilities you’ve taken on for your family, friends and your future. This is an especially powerful gift that will guide you well through its 6-year period of influence, when you’ll be moving forward with your plans and don’t have time to wait for the approval of others. “Faking it” will not work for you, so making things up as you go along will not “fly.” You launch your plans and actions from a solid foundation and are firmly faithful to your ideas and your principles. If F is your cornerstone, you are probably good at formulating plans that are designed for success and personal fulfillment. If you have two F’s in a row in any of your names, you’ll have a 12-year period over which many of your prayers and wishes will be fulfilled, but if several F’s are found at different places in the name cycles, you’ll be surprised how often your major plans come to fruition.

O looks like a circle – a loop that confines, but like a ring or corral, its use is defined by what’s contained within it. O is a responsible letter, and its ability to surround or hold is the source of your inner strength that enables you to fulfill your ambitions. Developing solid communication skills and a talent for open and objective thinking can be among your best assets in life. At the same time, being overbearing when you express your frustration or annoyance can ruin relationships and undermine other’s opinions of you. Being unappreciated after doing your best can increase stress, especially when you’re making an effort to share your experience and knowledge. In fact, when you are sharing or contributing insight or information, you’ll need the kind of feedback that encourages you to keep going instead of going over the same thing repeatedly, which can be irritating. This is especially true during the 6-year transit of O, or when it’s your cornerstone. During that time, other people may think you are more open to them than you really are, or you may be too preoccupied with matters that are deeply personal, so make sure you express the fact that you are in a pleasant way. This will give others all the attention they need and help you keep your boundaries in shape. Hidden obstacles and new opportunities in relationships may appear during this transit, so keep your eyes open and don’t compromise your best interests or values. Your innate creativity and social intelligence will guide you toward success, especially after your 15th birthday. If you have two O’s in a row in any of your names, it’s important to avoid taking obligations you may not be able to fulfill during the 12 years when O is active. If many O’s appear in your names in different places, you’re likely to take on new responsibilities when any of them are active, but you will be successful at completing them.

X may be the most popular letter that is used as a symbol. It’s an unknown quality in mathematics, an intangible, but super-charismatic measure of success (the X-factor), or as a mark for something extraordinary. The charisma of this letter is such that if a company wanted to make its product appear to be backed by science (rather than commerce), they add an X in the name. In the world of modern digital finance, it’s often used to make a short name for an “Exchange.” Of course, after a break-up, one partner usually refers to the other as their “eX.” Road signs and many other signs use X to mean that you should not cross this line, as in a railroad crossing. It closes documents on a computer or crosses out something unwanted or unacceptable, like the X-rating given to some movies. Three of them in a row is a generally understood sign for poison or, at the very least “leave this alone.” Being curious and adventurous, you may be excited by “X”, the unknown. It’s also used in math to mean “multiply” so you need to make careful decisions, because X can turn molehills into mountains. It can also mean “wrong answer” – which you may come up with more than once during its 6-year transit period. You’ll need to be on guard, because you won’t know what’s unexpectedly crossing your path. Although your actions can lead to unexpected consequences, and excesses will take you down the branch of the crossroads that is better left untraveled, you should realize that this letter is very balanced, because it looks the same when turned upside down or backward. You might be somewhat unpredictable, but that’s what brings excitement into your life and the lives of others, especially when it’s your cornerstone. I’ve never seen two X’s in a row in a name, but if that happens to be the case, I should imagine that the individual would experience a 12-year period of unexpected or extraordinary events. When they are in different places within the various names, they are likely to represent periods of time when there are “lines they should not cross”, meaning opportunities that could lead to unpredictable consequences.
