Achievement or Attraction?

The Achievement Number is found by adding the month and day of birth. For instance, someone born October 6th would have an Achievement Number of 10+6 = 16, 1+6 = 7. Kevin Quinn Avery, D.MS. was the first author to write about this chart element. He said: “The Achievement is what must be accomplished in life… Until the Achievement is obtained, there will be tension in the life causing negativity.” He was not the only numerologist to consider it of great importance; some practitioners of the Chaldean school call this number the Life Path, rather than the complete birth date.

The Achievement Number is the key factor in calculating the Personal Years, Months and Days; the Personal Year, for example, found by adding the Achievement Number to the Universal Year. Maybe the full date of birth was thought of as the first Personal Year, rather than the Life’s Path, as we do today.

Exciting research on this chart element has been done by numerologist Michael Brill, who discovered how each Achievement Number, when paired with any other number of personal significance, attracts a pattern of challenges and solutions specific to them both.

The Attractor Factor

In modern mathematics, there is an element called an Attractor. It is a “system” that many related variables around it “try” to gravitate toward, as in the stable position a swinging pendulum tries to achieve – interest and unemployment rates are considered to be attractors, because certain graphs show points clumping around a “center” of activity.

The Achievement Number works like that; it is an Attractor in your Numerology Chart.
In our example, the Attractor was 7, which means the best aspects of 7 would be enjoyed as the result of living positively. But ask yourself – are the attributes of any number actions or achievements in themselves, or the results you attract from your actions?
One who has an 8 Expression, if they live positively, will attract the benefits of the more pleasant side of 7, if that’s their Attractor. A less-than-positive 8 is likely to attract the isolation and doubt listed as negative qualities of the vibration 7.

If we revisit Dr. Avery’s statement and view it from a less deterministic perspective we may understand it to say “the Achievement Number works as an Attractor for positive and negative experiences of the vibration that it carries.”

So let’s take a brief look at some of the attributes that will help you understand what you may be attracting without knowing it…

Attractor One

Positive behavior attracts opportunities for leadership, innovation and proper use of energy, and luck through the use of intuition. Negative behavior attracts people who want to limit or define the individuality, or circumstances that work against self esteem.

Attractor Two

Positive behavior brings good results from empathy and intuition, and excellent opportunities for working together with others. Negative behavior results in the inability to pay attention to details, and a lack of cooperation or resistance from others.

Attractor Three

Positive behavior puts one in situations give cause for optimism or favorable social circumstances often, as well as attracting many creative outlets. Negative attitudes attract insecurity and overwhelming circumstances, and the unfair judgment of others.

Attractor Four

Positive attitudes attract opportunities to build and manage, as well as others’ praise for ones orderly and practical approach. Negative behaviors initiate a cycle of the fear of exploitation, and circumstances on which one blames their inability to move forward.

Attractor Five

Behaving in a positive way attracts countless opportunities to act freely and exhibit flexibility and knowledge, and to enjoy life. Negative behaviors attract circumstances in which it is difficult to be balanced or moderate, and draw one off course from their goals.

Attractor Six

Positive behaviors result in enjoyable responsibilities, and those who look to one for advice, counsel and friendship. Negative behaviors attract those who wish to make one responsible for their own troubles, and problems from others mistakes.

Attractor Seven

Positive behaviors attract faith, trust, knowledge and psychic or insightful experiences. Negative behaviors attract troubles whenever one tries to control their circumstances, resulting in doubt, skepticism and a lack of trust in the self, others or the unseen.

Attractor Eight

Positive attitudes toward others and the self attract opportunities to become a “mover and shaker” and do well in business in general. Negative behaviors attract disloyalty, a lack of recognition, and difficult financial situations due to mismanagement of money.

Attractor Nine

Positive behaviors attract positive experiences with all levels of society, and opportunities for open connection with the “higher” self. Negative behaviors attract those who may cause one to suffer for their problems, and highly emotional/dramatic circumstances.
