The rose is mentioned first because it is one of the most powerful plant allies out there. It emits the energy of love which can be so powerful when it comes to natural remedies. Roses open and heal the heart and soothe emotions, so they are helpful when women feel emotional during particular parts of their cycles.
The rose is also the flower of ultimate femininity. It connects us with our womanhood and helps to balance our hormones.

Natural Remedy #1: Detox Tea Recipe
This is a great tea recipe for general detoxification, as well as women’s health. It is cleansing, as well as nourishing. Dandelion and burdock root are grounding and help to support the liver, which is linked to the reproductive system.
- 1 part nettle leaves
- 1 part burdock root
- 1 part dandelion root
- 1 part red clover
- Put contents in a tea pot.
- Pour hot water, steep and serve.
- Optionally include a slice of lemon for flavor and enhanced detoxification.
Essential Oils for Women’s Health
Lavender is a gentle healer. One of its many benefits is its aid for issues related to women’s reproductive systems. It can also be used for hair loss, anxiety and high blood pressure. It is important to note, that unlike the plant, the essential oil form of lavender is toxic to ingest!
Geranium balances women’s hormones and emotions. An excellent essential oil for women during menopause and the premenstrual/menstrual phase. It’s emotional support properties can be especially beneficial after labor or even miscarriage.
Clary Sage is a fantastic essential oil for balancing women’s hormones. From menstrual issues (cramps, headaches, etc) to menopausal symptoms (hot flashes etc) there are many known benefits of this oil. Two drops on the lower abdomen can ease endometriosis too!
As mentioned above, rose helps balance hormones and soothe emotional upsets. in its essential oil form, its aroma is light, fragrant and perfume like, and is wonderful for relieving stress and creating a romantic environment.
Natural Remedy #2: Women’s Body Oil Recipe
Slather on this moisturizing body oil after a shower. It smells amazing! Geranium and clary sage bring balance, and orange detoxifies and brightens mood. Use it during your menstrual and pre-menstrual phase, or every day to encourage hormonal balance. This oil is also great for women in their menopausal phase.
- 1 part Jojoba oil
- 1 part clary sage essential oil
- 1 part geranium essential oil
- 1 part sweet orange oil
- Pour the contents into an empty, clean glass bottle.
- Close the bottle and shake gently to mix.
