This February our focus is on what is happening in the heavens and how that all looks in color. We have Mercury Retrograde, Uranus Pluto aspects, two New Moons in the sign of Aquarius and Jupiter Retrograde that continues on into April. Now imagine these energies as color and ask yourself the following questions as a color emerges:

Mercury In Retrograde – Heavy Turquoise & Its Impact On Your Creativity & Communication
Here is what I get. During this time I “feel” Mercury is light translucent aqua when in direct motion, when it’s retrograde it becomes a solid turquoise color. What comes to me about the energy is that I can’t see through the solid turquoise as clearly so I feel this means I won’t be able to see everything coming at me. On a positive level turquoise to me means communication, creativity and innovation.
When the energy is solid it feels heavy so there is a sense that communication will be heavy or difficult, and creativity and innovation will not be as easily achieved. The impact slows creative work turning the focus to verbal and written communication. The heavy feeling of turquoise coupled with the density of the color says any communication will take longer than normal to implement. We know this about Mercury Retrograde, but turquoise is also a color of rejection so we can expect more problems in getting our point across especially in relationships.
Uranus & Pluto – Exhilaration & Quickening
Let’s look at Uranus and Pluto. These planets are in a square aspect. I often see square or 90 degree aspects tinged with red, but this one is purple which in this instance feels like bruising. I am feeling Uranus is light green right now and Pluto is red violet. When I put these colors together I feel as if there is a huge shift that is somewhat scary and exhilarating all at the same time.
Light green is a new beginning coupled with a new identity. Red violet links the Heavens with the Earth through the chakra system, so speed is indicated, possibly a quickening. I feel the purple vibe is telling us we have a lesson to learn and provided we don’t hold on it will be over quickly – it feels a little like a band aid being ripped off.
The New Moons – Balancing Feminine & Masculine Energies
What about those two New Moons? The January Moon feels light blue and February’s Moon is deep pink giving me the sense of male and female balancing energies. Something begun on the first new moon will be nurtured or revisited on the second. Both Moons are in Aquarius a sign of networking and reaching out to others.
Blue is communication, so important connections would have been initiated in January and the February Moon indicates a deeper bond with those people especially ones we have a common bond with.
