During Mercury Retrograde, you’re processing emotions from your past. This is a good thing! This means that you’re clearing these stagnant feelings once and for all. Since Mercury is associated with how you communicate and it’s also in Gemini now (which is associated with how you relate to other people as well as learn new things), you might feel the need to PUT YOUR NEEDS AND FEELINGS FIRST. Your happiness is a priority – and it’s not going to come from pleasing everyone but yourself.

1. Listen to your intuition
Your inner voice will let you know if something is right for you. If you’re intuition is telling you that you don’t feel like going somewhere, or doing something, HONOR that. You’re not helping anyone by being uncomfortable. Consequently, if your inner voice is telling you to do something for yourself – like take a class, change your diet, exercise or have FUN – listen to that too! You’ll be so glad you did.
2. Stay grounded in your body
Your body has a wisdom all its own. If you’re tired, rest more. If you feel dread about something, do something else. If you have an open and happy feeling about something – go toward that. Listen to your body because it speaks your mind!
3. Tune into your inner voice rather than others
Before making your decisions based on everyone else, take a moment to tune into what YOU want. Once you’re clear about what’s good for you, then you can negotiate how that will fit into other people’s plans. Only you know what’s good for you. Take time to listen.
4. Be direct instead of nice
If you are avoiding speaking your truth because you don’t want to hurt someone’s feelings, or you want to avoid conflict, you’re only causing more trouble in the long run. People intuitively know if you are hiding something from them, and it only confuses people if you are hiding your feelings. Be clear and direct. The truth will set you free!
