PinIn honor of Mother’s Day, I thought it fitting to share her symbolism in our personal astrology.

The truth of the matter is that our Moon and Mother go hand in hand. While everyone always talks about their Sun sign, the important Moon is sometimes forgotten. Similar to the Moon that shines so bright, she reveals how we connect to our emotions.

We certainly live by the Sun but we learn to love by the Moon.

Her operation in our personal astrology represents our feelings, peace, contentment and overall emotional satisfaction. Just the Moon goes through phases – so do we. The more we shift, the closer we are to her.

The Moon is also the symbol that connects us most to our mother. Discovering how she operates for us on a personal level is a fascinating discovery. It can reveal who we are an an inner plane as well as how to embrace the way our emotions operate. We all need something to feel good and the Moon will always be the place we go to find it.

3 Ways To Decode Your Moon Sign

There are three things to look at in order to learn more about how the Moon is operating in our Personal Astrology:

  1. The Moon’s Sign, or astrological sign our Moon was living in when we were born, describes not only the way our emotions operate but how we can feel the most content emotionally. To find out where the Moon is in your chart, head here.
  2. The place (or astrological house) where our Moon lives describes the place or theme of where we’ll go to seek comfort.
  3. The combinations or aspects our Moon makes describes what other influences are working with (and against) our emotional satisfaction.

All three of these things are determined at the moment we’re born and will remain the same all our life. There will always be ups downs and all-arounds and whenever our feelings get involved, it’s likely that our Moon is involved. Just like our mother was there when we entered this world, she’s always there somewhere as we trek through it.

No matter what the particulars – we all began our lives with our mothers.  She nurtured, comforted, loved, listened and hugged us in the best way she knew how. Everyone has a story about their mother and the Moon in our personal astrology represents it.  The Moon also shows us where we need to go to feel love and comfort again because it can get lost through life’s journey.

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the love we have for all of the mothers of the World.

There is no love greater than the love a mother has for her children. Even though she may not do everything perfectly – she does it the best she can.  She loves in the only way she knows how and will always give the most she can. From one mother to another, I’m wishing all my lovely mothers out there a very Happy Mother’s Day.

Being a mother is the best and hardest job imaginable. Here’s to all you do every minute, of every day, all year ’round. It’s time to embrace our special ladies and love her to the Moon and back.
