And breathe…..

We’ve had a more-than-hectic start to 2019. First eclipse season hit straight off the bat, and the last two months have been all about ducking and diving our way through a run of critical zero-degree Full Moons, which were demanding to say the least. (There’s still one more of those to go, folks – the Full Moon in Libra on March 20 will be the last of five Full Moon at 0º)

But this week, the cosmos is treating us with a moments respite.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR…

The next New Moon occurs on March 6, 2019, at 15º of Pisces at the following times…

  • 08:03 PST
  • 11:03 EST
  • 16:03 GMT
  • 03:03 AEDT (on March 7th)

Everybody…Open Up Your Arms to the New Moon in Pisces!

Whatever your Sun, Moon or rising sign, this New Moon in Pisces holds a particular energetic frequency that we’ll all feel rippling through the collective. Some will feel its astrology more than most (hello Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, especially those with planets on or around 15º of those signs) And with a whole lotta mutable energy also swirling through the zodiac at the time of this lunation, if you have planets on or close to 15º of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces then you should also take note of the geometry of the skies…

Here’s what you need to know –

1. Don’t Be Afraid to Feel all the Feels

Pisces is soft, fine, subtle, gentle and the most intuitive and empathic of all signs of the zodiac. It’s also highly sensitive so under this week’s starry skies, expect emotions to flow. If you’re normally a little teary around the New Moon phase… well, best get those tissues within arms-reach now. But that’s not to say this astrology has an ounce of negativity or shadow sloping around. This is no time to be feeling sorry for yourself or dwelling in a pool of victimhood.

Pisces is expansive and feels all the feels through its vast connectivity. This portion of the skies is a sea of consciousness so feel no shame in turning that gaze out, over the waves of humanity, and feeling what you feel. If your empathic gates are wide open, it’s a sure sign that you’re rising beyond the ego – your work is working! But be careful not to lose yourself (and check out this post if you need a little extra help when it comes to boundaries and self-care if your empathy levels are running just a little too high.)

2. Neptune Conjunct the New Moon Invites You to Dream Deep (and manifest …)

It’s not only the Sun and Moon enjoying the Piscean waters. A tight conjunction to both Neptune and the baby-planet Vesta, both at 16º of the sign of the fishes adds another level of dreamy, super-conscious awareness to this New Moon. In astrology, Neptune is Pisces’ ruler and God of the Sea, overseeing the imagination, dreams, fantasy, psychic receptivity, intuition, and music. Marry these with the inky darkness of the New Moon and the imaginal realms of all possibility suddenly become as real as the room you’re sitting in right now.

What does this mean for you?

It means that this New Moon is ripe for re-working that etheric layer, that in-between place where healing can happen and your dreams first begin to take shape, before manifesting into the here and now.

This New Moon will give you the power to make anything possible… if you dream it into existence first.

So don’t underestimate the power of your intuitive gaze, and your yearnings and desires (and we’re not talking your ego-wants here. This is energy comes from a deeper place – it’s urging you to call the New Earth into being, and a believe into being a whole new paradigm of existence).

Sow your seeds.

Make it so.

3. So Much Mutable Energy Brings Flexibility!

Joining the Sun, Moon, Neptune, and Vesta in Pisces is also Mercury (just starting out on its retro journey as of March 5… for your essential survival tips head here!) and Jupiter currently sitting at 22Âş of Sagittarius. These planets in mutable signs all combine to give a flexible, wide-horizoned outlook that means we’re not about to dig our heels in if and when plans change. And let’s face it, there’s a large amount of shifting sand in the cosmic wheel right now so the more we all learn to surrender to the flow, the better.

Especially now that Uranus has made that leap into Taurus we’ve all been waiting for…

4. Uranus Enters Taurus – Get Set for the Quake

This once-in-a-decade astrological transit couldn’t not be mentioned alongside the New Moon in Pisces. On the very same day as the Sun and Moon meet in Pisces, Uranus enters Taurus. The “Great Awakener” currently sits at 0Âş and will spend the next seven years traversing this fixed earth-sign (finally cutting loose in April 2026). Whilst in Aries, Uranus jostled with our egos, prodded at our sense of identity, questioned our unique place in the world and had us facing up to any and all illusions regarding our personal passion projects on more than one occasion (need proof of the power of this astrology? Think back to 2011 and consider how many times your individual sense of self has been burned up and reborn in the last 8 years. It’s been a wild ride…)

On a global scale, the last time Uranus switched signs into Aries (March 11th, 2011) was when the Fukushima power plant in Japan was hit by that fateful earthquake and Tsunami. Despite being one of the slower-moving planets, Uranus isn’t averse to making its presence known with a bang.

So keep your wits about you as we enter into the Pisces New Moon portal. The sleepy, dreamy vibes of the fishes could feel like a warm bath, and yes, we are all more than a little deserving of a nice long soak, but you could be called to attention at any moment. And you better be ready.
